Taufi signs letter of intent to continue career at BYU
Long Beach City College sophomore offensive lineman Jesse Taufi has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Brigham Young University this upcoming fall.
Taufi (6-5, 320, Carson HS) was a third-team JC Grid-Wire All-American as well as an academic All-American. He also earned first-team All-Mission Football Conference American Division honors at offensive tackle.
“Jesse is not only an outstanding football player, but an outstanding individual,” said new LBCC head coach Mike Reisbig. “He has the skills and the intelligence to excel at the next level.”
Reisbig also expects offensive guard Kyle Schaper, linebacker William Alo, and punter Dustin Abrams to receive scholarship offers in the weeks to come.
Reisbig was named head coach of the LBCC football program shortly following the close of the 2007 season. He takes over a program that went 2-7 overall last year and was 1-3 in the Mission Football Conference American Division. |
