Men’s Cross Country:
Vikings run to 15th place at Orange Coast Classic
Running without four of its top athletes, the Long Beach City College men’s cross country team totaled 402 points to finish in 15th place out of 21 teams at the highly competitive Orange Coast Cross Country Classic at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa on Saturday.
Sophomore Doug Curran led Long Beach with his 75th place finish. He ran a personal best time of 22:30.66 on the four-mile course. He was followed by freshman Marquise Davis in 95th place at 22:58.35 and freshman David Farrugia in 103rd with a time of 23:09.39.

Host Orange Coast won the team event with 29 points and El Camino’s Jose Lezama took first with a time of 20:15.06.
The LBCC men’s cross country team returns to action on October 2 when it will compete at the Bakersfield Invitational at the Kern County Soccer Park. |
