Men’s Cross Country:
Long Beach earns 19th place finish at Orange Coast Classic
The Long Beach City College men’s cross country team totaled 490 points to finish in 19th place out of 25 teams on Saturday at the Orange Coast Classic at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa.
Leading the way for the Vikings was freshman Doug Curran. He cleared the four-mile course with a time of 22:08.46 to finish in 68th place.
Sophomore Roland Hall reached the century mark, finishing in 100th place with a time of 22:47.41.

Nick Yahontov (So.), 116th, 23:18.56
Jorge Perez, (Fr.), 182nd, 27:30.57
Kevin Parker (Fr.), 192nd, 28:59.15
San Bernardino Valley took the team title with 44 points, while El Camino’s Steven Calise was first with a time of 20:08.14.
Long Beach returns to action on October 3 when it travels to Bakersfield for the Southern California Preview Meet. |
