Men’s Golf:
Vikings close season with eighth place finish at SoCal Regionals
The 2009 men’s golf season came to a close following Long Beach City College’s eighth-place team finish at the Southern California Championships on Monday. The Vikings shot 396-392---788 at the Marshallia Ranch Golf Course at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Maria.
Leading the way for Long Beach was sophomore Pat Tom. He finished tied for 21st place with a two-round 153 (78-75). Freshman John Abdon was two strokes behind with 155 (78-77) to finish tied for 30th place.

Andrew Perez of Santa Barbara City College shot 69-72---141 to earn individual medalist honors while Palomar College was first with a 370-371---741 team card. The top four teams qualifying for the state championships are Palomar, Santa Barbara, Ventura College, and College of the Canyons.
