Men’s Soccer:
Vikings suffer 1-0 loss on late-game goal to El Camino
The LBCC men’s soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 South Coast Conference loss to El Camino College on Friday.
El Camino’s John Masaquoi scored the game-winning goal (84:56) with five minutes left in the second half.
Freshman goal keeper Brendon Welch (St. John Bosco HS) posted five saves in the loss for the Vikings.
The loss dropped Long Beach to 7-8-4 overall and 2-5-2 in the SCC. El Camino moved to 8-11 and 3-6 in conference action.
The Vikings return to the field on Tuesday (Nov. 1) when they host Compton College in a 3 p.m. SCC game.
