Men’s Soccer:
LBCC makes return trip to San Diego, get No. 10 playoff seed
The LBCC men’s soccer team will be making its second straight postseason appearance under co-head coaches Cameron Beaulac and Pat Noyes and will enter the Southern California Regional Playoffs as the No. 10 seed.
Long Beach closed the regular season with a 10-10-4 overall record and finished in fifth place in the South Coast Conference at 5-7-2.
For the second straight year, the Vikings will head south to play No. 7 San Diego City College. The game is set for Saturday (Nov. 19) at 2 p.m. Last season, San Diego City defeated Long Beach 3-1 in the opening-round playoff game.
SDCC compiled a 17-3 overall record and was the Pacific Coast Conference champions with a 9-1 record. The winner gets the unlucky task of taking on defending state champion Santa Ana College (No. 2), who has a first-round bye.
Mt. San Antonio College, Santa Ana, Irvine Valley College, L.A. Harbor College, and Golden West College comprise the SoCal Regional men top-five seeds.
