Men’s Soccer:
LBCC season ends with 2-0 playoff loss at Mt. San Antonio

Long Beach City College suffered a 2-0 loss at Mt. San Antonio College in Round 2 of the Southern California Regional Playoffs on Tuesday night to end the Vikings’ 2008 season.

The momentum from Saturday’s thrilling penalty-kick shootout win couldn’t carry over into the match as the Vikings were held scoreless by their conference rival.

With the loss, LBCC ends the year with a 15-5-6 overall record. The Vikings finished fourth in the South Coast Conference with a 7-4-3 mark.
