Men’s Track and Field:
Vikings earn seven top-10 finishes at Cerritos Invitational
The Long Beach City College men’s track and field team picked up seven top-10 finishes at the Cerritos Invitational at Cerritos College on Saturday.
The Cerritos Invitational has become one of the most competitive and largest community college meets in the nation, with over 30 colleges and 2000 entrants.
Leading the way was freshman Michael Hancock. He took first place in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.25.
Freshman Najee Jackson was second in the 100 meters at 10.97 and freshman Ryan Lauderdale was also second in the javelin with a throw of 179-2.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Bobby Workman, Jackson, Hancock, and Ellis Anderson went on to take fourth with a time of 42.46.
