Track & Field:
Long
Beach brings home 10 top-10 finishes at USC Trojan
Invitational
The
Long Beach City College men’s track and field
team came away with 10 top-10 finishes, including
four top-three efforts, from the USC Trojan Invitational
on Saturday.
Taylor
Everton led the way by taking first in the long
jump, beating Cal State Fullerton and USC athletes
with a mark of 25-7 ¼.
LBCC
relay teams finished second in the 4x400 (3:10.72)
and third in the 4x100 (40.61).
Armond
Goodin rounded out the Vikings’ top-three finishers
by taking third in the 110 meter hurdles with
a time of 14.33.
Sophomore
Thomas Morris had sixth place finishes in both
the 100 (10.69) and 200 meters (21.69).

The
meet featured men's and women's squads from USC,
Washington State, Long Beach State, Cal State
Fullerton, Weber State, Sacramento State, UNLV,
Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cerritos College, and
LBCC. There were also numerous unattached athletes
competing at the meet.

the LaVerne Invitational.
