Men’s Track and Field:

22 individuals, two relay teams look to place well at SCC Finals

The LBCC men’s track and field team will look to qualify for the Southern California Regional Championships and compete for a South Coast Conference title at this Friday’s SCC Finals. Field events begin at 10 a.m. with running events scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at LBCC’s Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Vikings will have 22 individuals and two relay teams compete at the event.

Leading the way for the men is Vannie Prudhomme. He will compete in the high jump, 110 hurdles, and 400 hurdles. Prudhomme enters the meet with Southern California’s top mark in the 110 hurdles and is also among the top-three in the 400 hurdles..

Other multiple event competitors include Dwayne Thomas (discus, shut put), John Marshall (100, 200), Damein White (200, 400), Brian Williams (200, 400), Chance Morris (200, 400), and Brent Gray (100, 200).

The Vikings will be well represented in sprints with five entries in the 200 final and four entries in the 400.
