Volleyball:
Long
Beach earns 3-1 road win over Grossmont College
Sophomore
outside hitter Thomas Vito totaled 20 kills and
8 blocks to lead the LBCC men’s volleyball team
to a 3-1 non-conference win at Grossmont College
Wednesday night.
Long
Beach won the match by scores of 28-30, 30-18,
30-20, and 31-29.
Freshman
middle blocker Larry Taylor had 13 kills with
10 blocks, while sophomore middle blocker Kealii
Chang added 10 kills and 9 blocks to the win.
LBCC
improved its record to 2-1 overall. The Vikings
return to action on Friday (Feb. 27) when they
play at Orange Coast College in a 7 pm non-conference
match.
