Men’s Volleyball:

Long Beach remains undefeated after sweep of San Diego Mesa

The Long Beach City College men’s volleyball team improved to 4-0 on the season with its 3-0 non-conference win over San Diego Mesa College Wednesday night.

Long Beach won the match in a sweep over San Diego Mesa (1-3) by scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-20.

Sophomore outside hitter Ryun Georges (Los Gatos, CA) led the Vikings with 7 digs. Freshman outside hitter Naseri Tumanuvao (Lakewood HS) chipped in with 9 kills, and freshman setter Brian Hiapo (Gilbert, AZ) had a match-high 37 assists.

The Vikings return to action on Friday (Mar. 3) when they travel to Irvine Valley College for a 4 p.m. non-conference match. LBCC is back home on March 8 at 6 p.m. against Golden West College.
