Men’s Volleyball:
LBCC gets back on winning track with sweep of L.A. Pierce
The Long Beach City College men’s volleyball team bounced back from its tough 3-1 loss at Santa Monica last week with a three-game sweep of rival Los Angeles Pierce College in a Western State Conference match on Friday.
The win improved the Vikings to 8-2 overall and 2-1 in the WSC. Pierce dropped to 5-3 and 1-2 in conference play.
Freshman middle blocker Antwain Aguillard led the Vikings with seven kills and 10 blocks.
Freshman outside hitter Chuck Chamberlain added four kills and four blocks.
Long Beach returns to action on Wednesday (Mar. 19) when it hosts Santa Barbara City College in a WSC match at 6 p.m. The Vikings travel to El Camino College for a conference match on Friday (Mar. 21). |
