Men’s Water Polo:
No. 3 Vikings dominate El Camino, cruise to 17-4 rout at home
The No. 3 state-ranked Long Beach City College men’s water polo team rolled to a 17-4 South Coast Conference win over El Camino College on Wednesday at LBCC.
The win improved Long Beach to 15-6 overall and kept them undefeated in the SCC at 4-0.
Nine different Vikings scored in the contest with sophomore Brandon Loveless leading the scoring assault with six goals. Freshman Dusan Ivanovski had three goals and freshman Jeff Volosin added two goals.
Freshman Matt Schamp posted four first-quarter saves and freshman Duran Reid closed out the game with six saves.
The Long Beach men return to action on Sunday (Oct. 26) when they travel to face Pepperdine University in an exhibition match. |
