Women’s Soccer:
Long Beach plays Pasadena to scoreless draw at home
The Long Beach City College women’s soccer team played visiting Pasadena City College to a 0-0 tie in a South Coast Conference game at LBCC on Monday.
Today’s game was originally scheduled for October 23 but was postponed because of the Southern California fires.
Long Beach controlled the tempo throughout the game and
outshot Pasadena by a 21-4 margin but was unable to put the ball in goal.
Pasadena played one player short in the 70th minute after Alexandra Tunks received her second yellow card resulting in ejection. And in the 82nd minute, Claudia Lomeli also received her second yellow card resulting in ejection to put PCC two players down for the remainder of the game.
Randi Richardson posted 10 saves in goal for Pasadena (7-4-7, 3-3-3 SCC). LBCC’s Rachel Waters was credited three saves.
Long Beach (12-2-3, 5-2-1 SCC) returns to action tomorrow (Oct 30) when it hosts East L.A. College in a 2 pm SCC game. |
