Women’s Volleyball:
Long Beach cruises to SCC sweep of East Los Angeles

The Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 South Coast Conference win over visiting East Los Angeles College on Friday night at LBCC.

The Vikings swept the match by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-11 to improve to 9-11 overall and 7-6 in the SCC. East L.A. fell to 4-12 and 4-10 in conference play.

Freshman Seferin Starks led LBCC with 15 kills. Freshman Ceci Cisneros chipped in six kills and three blocks while freshman Courtney Foster added five kills and five blocks.

The Vikings return to action Wednesday (Nov. 11) when they travel to Los Angeles Harbor College for a 6 p.m. SCC match.
